Hazards - Red Cross is a free app for iOS and Android devices. It provides access to more than 500 hazards information from the New Zealand Red Cross and the NZ Fire Service.
You can use the app to find out what to do if you are faced with a hazard, whether it is a fire, flood, earthquake, tornado, volcanic eruption, chemical spill, or other natural or man-made disaster. It also has information on how to prepare your home, your family, and your community.
You can also receive alerts and notifications on the app about your location and the type of hazard you are monitoring.
The app can be used by individuals, families, and community groups. It is not intended for use by individuals who are not members of the New Zealand Red Cross or the NZ Fire Service.
The app is being rolled out by regional fire departments and emergency management groups.
